A familiar state of unsettling defocusing. This is how our everyday life is constructed today: visual, digital and social environments are fragmented, and we live within blurred margins, in semi-conscious roles, as our gaze slides across surfaces, unable to gather a person, setting or situation into a unified field of experience. The figures in front of us almost exist, but slip away the moment you try to look at them. We are not sure who they are, whether they are real characters filtered through our expectations, whether they actually exist. Place also refuses to come together as a whole: lines diverge, rooms float, gestures disintegrate, and reality becomes 'almost real' — somewhere between truth and its reflection.

This is a world in which space is fragmented, as are our attempts to see each other. Can sincerity exist within such an almost-real world? Is a person willing to take the risk, to take off their mask, not to defend themselves, to become vulnerable, in order to see another?

Vulnerability is not a sign of fragility, but a fundamental condition of human presence. Vulnerability, as the ability to be open to another, turns out to be the only way to overcome fragmentation and restore the experience of mutual recognition. Without this openness, a person risks becoming a phantom: a role, an avatar, a figure dissolved in the noise of the digital and social environment. Three artists, Evgenia Voronova, Han Ui Do, and Jin Ju Eun, create a unified 'almost real' world — a space that the viewer simultaneously recognises and cannot fully comprehend, which we create ourselves when we are afraid to be real.
